Dental DVI. Bali Bombing 2002

This paper dicusses the need for identification, the techniques used with an explanation of why. The question of how far does one take the process of identification is discussed. The different types of disasters are explained in the context of victim identification, and the increasing internationalisation of such events, and the problems this poses. The use and practicaliy of a standardised sytematic approach to the process of identification as proposed by Interpol is examined. The presentation closes with a discussion of the dental input into the identification of the victims of the Bali bombing in October 2002.
